Lester Glenn Chevrolet Dealership - Lester Glenn Auto Group, one of the largest private dealership groups in New Jersey, is seeking motivated, people-friendly, and goal-oriented experienced Automotive Service Technicians (A, B, & C Levels) for our Chevy Service Department in Old Bridge, NJ. Technicians will work in a facility equipped with advanced diagnostic equipment and specialized service tools, and will be responsible for the service and repair of vehicles assigned by service management or their designated representatives.
Responsibilities:
Include but are not limited to:
- Perform work specified on maintenance and repair orders with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards
- Diagnose and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, braking, air conditioning, etc. to specification
- Perform Routine inspections , system diagnostics, full automotive troubleshooting and testing
- Explain mechanical diagnoses and required repairs in a non-technical manner to service advisors and customers
- Inspect and test new vehicles and recording findings so that necessary repairs can be made and provide labor and time estimates for additional automotive repairs
Requirements:
Include but are not limited to:
- Previous experience as an automotive technician required (ASE certification preferred)
- GM experience pref.
- Solid mechanical skills
- Team oriented, flexible and focused on maintaining a high level of customer service
- Working knowledge of shop equipment such as wheel and tire equipment, alignment system, diagnostic equipment, AC equipment, etc.)
- Valid driver’s license, clean driving record
