Rental Car Manager/Agent Pay: $65,688.50 - $78,635.62 per year Schedule: 5:00 PM–2:00 AM (For Orlando)
Job description: Routes Car Rental is hiring a customer-focused Center/Agent Manager to support our evening car-rental operations. The ideal candidate is a calm problem-solver with strong leadership, customer-service, and operational skills.
Responsibilities
- Handle customer escalations professionally, de-escalate concerns, and provide timely resolutions.
- Assist customers with vehicle exchanges, including urgent situations and customers stranded away from the location.
- Respond to customer-care emails promptly and follow up until issues are resolved.
- Support rental agents by locating and assigning required vehicles.
- Drive excellent customer service, survey results, and online ratings.
- Coordinate fleet-in vehicles, install plates, and track tag and plate expirations for renewal.
- Coordinate impounded-vehicle pickups and work with head office on title documentation.
- Prepare staff schedules and monitor car-wash employee productivity.
- Complete reports, administrative work, and other duties assigned by management.
- Communicate clearly with the manager, team members, head office, and other stakeholders regarding operational performance and shift issues.
Qualifications
- Previous supervisory, assistant-manager, car-rental, automotive, retail, hospitality, or customer-service experience preferred.
- Excellent managerial communication skills for team leadership, stakeholder coordination, and operational-performance reporting.
- Strong conflict-resolution skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook, for reporting, data analysis, and documentation.
- Strong organization, scheduling, and multitasking skills.
- Must be available for the 5:00 PM–2:00 AM evening shift.
- Valid driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record may be required.
